Initial Production Inspection (IPI) is a comprehensive inspection and evaluation of the raw materials and components to be put into production. The purpose is to disclose the items found in the inspection that do not meet the product requirements in the form of reports and improve them in time.
Initial production inspections help you understand whether your suppliers have a clear understanding of product requirements and whether they are manufactured in strict accordance with these requirements in order to avoid product production risks in a timely manner.
Targets for pre-production inspection:
A.Ensure that the requirements specified by the customer are implemented on the product, especially if there are specified materials, designated production lines, etc.;
B.Identify problems during the production preparation phase and prevent any potential defects from appearing in raw materials, production planning, production management, etc.
The focus of pre-production inspection:
A.Check the key materials and materials list;
B.Confirmation of mass production samples;
C.Confirmation of customer needs;
D.Semi-finished products and some finished products;
E.Production line and production capacity;
